Kview Beta Terms of Use
Kview is free, unfinished software for professionals. Use it at your own risk, keep your own copies of your work, and don't use it where a fault could cause serious harm.
1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Ilia Korovin, trading as Korovin.ai (ABN 38 714 450 533), of Victoria, Australia ("we", "us"). You accept them by ticking the box when you create your account, or by using Kview. If you use Kview for an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Who can use Kview
You must be 18 or older. Kview is a professional tool for building and reviewing websites and apps, supplied for business use. You must not use Kview if the law that applies to you prohibits it.
3. Kview is a beta
- Kview is still being built. It may contain errors, lose or damage data, change, stop working, or be withdrawn.
- Features and file formats may change without notice. Files made by one version may not open in a later one.
- The beta is free. We will never charge you without your agreement. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you at least 30 days before, and your account carries over.
- The beta may end at any time. We will give you 30 days' notice where we reasonably can.
4. Your licence to use Kview
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Kview on Macs you own or control, for your work, while these terms apply. Kview is licensed, not sold: we and our licensors keep all rights in it.
You must not:
- copy, sell, rent, lend, sublicense or distribute Kview, other than by sharing our official download link;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or modify Kview, except to the extent the law allows despite this term;
- remove or change any notice in Kview, or get around its sign-in or security features;
- use Kview to build a competing product.
Kview includes open-source components that are licensed to you under their own licences. Their licence notices are included with the Kview app.
5. Your account
You need an account to use Kview. Keep access to your email account secure, because sign-in links go there. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us at [email protected].
6. Automatic updates
Kview checks for updates and may download and install them automatically, including security fixes. You agree to this by using Kview. We may require you to update before Kview keeps working, and older versions may stop being able to sign in.
7. Websites you open and what you capture
- Kview opens whatever websites you point it at, in a built-in browser engine, inside a desktop app that runs with the permissions of your Mac user account. A harmful or compromised website could try to exploit it. Only open sites you trust. Do not use Kview to sign in to production admin systems, banking, or any account holding sensitive data.
- You are responsible for the websites you open, and for having the right to access, capture and review them.
- Screenshots and notes can contain personal and confidential information. Kview stores them unencrypted in your review folder on your Mac. You are responsible for protecting them, for where you share them (including with AI agents), and for meeting privacy laws about any personal information in them.
- Other websites and services are not ours, and we are not responsible for them.
8. No backups
We do not back up beta account data, and Kview does not back up your reviews. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use Kview to break the law or anyone's rights; to access systems, accounts or data you are not authorised to access; to test the security of systems without their owner's permission; or to interfere with or overload our services. You must not share your account or create accounts automatically. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
10. Your content and your feedback
Your reviews, screenshots and notes are yours. We claim no rights in them, and Kview does not send them to us.
Feedback is optional. If you send it, you give us a free, permanent, worldwide right to use, change and build on it in Kview and our other products, without owing you anything. We will not publish your name or quote you without asking first. Please don't put confidential information in feedback.
11. Emails from us
Emails about sign-in, security, the beta and changes to these terms are part of the service. News from Korovin.ai is sent only if you opted in, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.
12. Consumer law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right, remedy or guarantee that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded (your non-excludable rights).
Where the law allows it, because Kview is not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to, at our choice, supplying Kview again, repairing or replacing it, or paying the cost of doing so.
13. No other promises
Subject to your non-excludable rights, Kview and our services are provided "as is" and "as available". We make no other promise about them, including that they are fit for a particular purpose, accurate, secure, or will work without interruption or error.
14. Limits on our liability
Kview is free during the beta, so we exclude our liability for it as far as the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, and subject to your non-excludable rights:
- we are not liable to you for any loss or damage of any kind connected with Kview, our services or these terms, however it arises, including through negligence; and
- if the law does not allow us to exclude a liability completely, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to AU$100.
This section does not apply to fraud, or to any liability the law does not allow us to limit.
15. Claims caused by your use
If a third party makes a claim against us because you broke section 7 or 9, or used Kview unlawfully, you are responsible for our reasonable losses and costs from that claim. This does not apply to the extent we caused the loss.
16. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using Kview and delete your account at any time, at korovin.ai/kview/account.
- We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if needed for security or legal reasons, or when the beta ends. We will give notice where reasonable: 30 days when the beta ends, and none when security or a serious breach requires immediate action.
- When your access ends, your licence ends and you must uninstall Kview. Your review files stay on your Mac. Sections 7, 8, 10 and 12 to 17 continue to apply.
17. Changes to these terms
Each version has a number and an effective date. When we change these terms, we will tell you by email or in Kview, and Kview will ask you to accept the new version before you keep using it. If you do not accept it, stop using Kview and delete your account. Changes never apply to anything that happened before they took effect. Updates to the Kview app itself need no notice (sections 3 and 6).
18. General
- Law: the law of Victoria, Australia governs these terms, and the courts of Victoria and the federal courts of Australia have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live outside Australia, any mandatory consumer law of your country still applies.
- Severability: if part of these terms is unenforceable, it is limited to the extent needed, and the rest stays in force.
- Transfer: we may transfer these terms to a business that takes over Kview, including a company set up by Ilia Korovin, and will tell you if we do. You may not transfer them.
- Events outside our control: we are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Whole agreement: these terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about Kview. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
- Notices: we send notices to your account's email address. Send legal notices to [email protected].
